Dr. Allen’s love of chiropractic resonates, and not only for his many long-term patients. It’s what inspired Dr. McSweeney, Dr. Allen’s daughter, to follow in his footsteps.

After practicing for 47 years in Santa Cruz county, Dr. Allen decided it was time to join his children and grandchildren in Reno. And happily for his new patients here in town, his daughter convinced him to join her at her practice in a part-time capacity. Dr. McSweeney completed a two-year preceptorship at her father’s office in the early 2000s, making this new arrangement both familiar and exciting.

To supplement his decades of experience, Dr. Allen attends annual chiropractic seminars with Dr. McSweeney and logs at least 20 hours of continued education annually. He’s also an avid reader of daily health publications to stay current on the latest technologies and theories. Dr. Allen is certified in advanced nutrition and testing, and over the years, he’s developed a specialty in handling difficult cases that showed little improvement until he came on board.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Allen came be found playing tennis, golf, basketball and softball. He also enjoys spending time with his family.
