We have big plans for 2023, and we’re kicking things off with a warm welcome to Dannelle Morris, a certified and medically-trained massage therapist. She’s bringing her 14 years of practice and specialized range of services to Dr. McSweeney’s office, and we couldn’t be more excited! Here’s what the addition of massage therapy means for our patients.
MEET DANNELLE
Dannelle is a 2008 graduate of both the Sanford Brown College in massage therapy and Washington University in somatic studies. She’s a medically-trained massage therapist with experience in surgical and rehab environments. Her specialties include myofascial release, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular mobilization, cranial sacral, and deep tissue massage. That means her therapies can support post-surgical scar tissue reduction, immune system stimulation, and those experiencing chronic and acute pain.
The benefits of musculoskeletal massage include:
- reduced joint pain
- decreased muscle spasms
- increased range of motion
- improved sleep
Those seeking cranial release will find benefits such as:
- a reduction in headaches
- an improvement in neck stiffness and tension
- reduced congestion
Like Dr. McSweeney and Dr. Allen, Dannelle has a holistic, multi-technique approach to massage therapy and incorporates tools like cupping to offer a personalized approach to a patient’s care. Dannelle’s services will be a wonderful complementary therapy to the services offered at the chiropractic office and Boost. Current patients of the practice will know that every chiropractic appointment begins with the option for tool-assisted massage, which helps relax and prepare the body for treatments to come. For many patients, it’s the best part, and having Dannelle on the team means patients can enjoy the relaxing benefits of expert massage therapy for longer than just a few minutes!
Learn more about how massage therapy and chiropractic care go hand in hand, and look for Dannelle’s services on alternating Fridays beginning this week. Schedule a massage session next time you stop by the office or online. Dannelle is scheduling mini massages between 10 and 15 minutes, as well as option for 30, 60, and 90-minute sessions.
