For Dr. McSweeney, chiropractic is a family thing. She grew up in her father’s chiropractic office, and it was her favorite place. As a five-year-old, she would dress up in one of his white doctor’s coats and go room to room offering back massages. When she was in high school, Dr. McSweeney began attending chiropractic seminars with her father, a tradition they maintain now to stay current on new technologies and skills.
In 2000, Dr. McSweeney graduated with a degree in sports medicine and was accepted into the Palmer West Chiropractic College. During her final year, she practiced with Drs. Matt and Mike Janzen, chiropractors for Ultimate Fighting Champions, professional athletes, and Olympians.
Dr. McSweeney completed a two-year preceptorship at her father’s practice before setting out on her own. In addition to the several annual seminars she attends with her father, she also completes more than 30 hours per year in specialized nutrition studies and over 25 hours per year in additional studies.
When she’s not at work, Dr. McSweeney enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She also likes hiking, biking, running, and spending time outside.

Dr. Allen’s love of chiropractic resonates, and not only for his many long-term patients. It’s what inspired Dr. McSweeney, Dr. Allen’s daughter, to follow in his footsteps.
After practicing for 47 years in Santa Cruz County, Dr. Allen decided it was time to join his children and grandchildren in Reno. And happily for his new patients here in town, his daughter convinced him to join her at her practice in a part-time capacity. Dr. McSweeney completed a two-year preceptorship at her father’s office in the early 2000s, making this new arrangement both familiar and exciting.
To supplement his decades of experience, Dr. Allen attends annual chiropractic seminars with Dr. McSweeney and logs at least 20 hours of continued education annually. He’s also an avid reader of daily health publications to stay current on the latest technologies and theories. Dr. Allen is certified in advanced nutrition and testing, and over the years, he’s developed a specialty in handling difficult cases that showed little improvement until he came on board.
When he isn’t working, Dr. Allen can be found playing tennis, golf, basketball, and softball. He also enjoys spending time with his family.

After serving as a nurse and nurse practitioner in the U.S. Navy for the past 15 years, Lindsey is bringing her skill set and experience to Boost Integrated. As our family nurse practitioner, Lindsey is spearheading our regenerative medicine services. That means targeted, responsible pain management modalities, including the use of platelet-rich protein (PRP) joint injections and trigger point injections, as well as primary care services. Lindsey’s expertise gives our patients the safest, most conscientious, and most appropriate form of care for their unique circumstances.
Lindsay’s Naval career gave her a wide range of clinical experiences both on U.S. soil and abroad. Most recently she provided general primary care services to active duty and veteran families in the Pacific Northwest. Here at Boost, she’ll be honing her specialty on musculoskeletal pain management, a focus that aligns with our holistic approach to care. “Treating the whole patient is why I chose my career in nursing in the first place and I have seen that shift in the nature of patient care during the course of my career,” says Lindsay."
There are a number of providers and healthcare systems that push small fixes for the immediate need, which isn't necessarily what the patient needs. I am thrilled to work alongside a team who believe in working with patients to manage the big picture when it comes to their health and wellness and provide targeted treatments where needed.”
When she’s not working, Lindsay shoulders the demanding but rewarding role of chief executive home management officer. She’s the mother of two young and energetic sons, and her husband flies for UPS and the U.S. Navy as a Naval Reserve pilot. When the family is together, they enjoy exploring their new hometown and settling into their new life as Nevadans.

Donya is a chiropractic assistant here at Boost Integrated. Not only does she thoroughly document patient questions, concerns and areas of pain, she’s responsible for one of the most popular aspects of treatment—the G5 and percussor massage! Donya assists our practitioners as needed, and she also sets up both Zerona treatments and the infrared sauna.
Before joining the Boost team, Donya worked in a hospital setting as a certified nursing assistant and a critical care technician. Her background makes her appreciate the holistic approach emphasized at Boost Integrated, which focuses on both physical and emotional health. It’s one of many things that sets our practice apart. “Boost Integrated is a family! Our patients are family and so are each of our co-workers. And because we are a family, the level of care is deeper than other practices because we want our family to be healthy and happy,” she says.
One of Donya’s favorite experiences at Boost is meeting all of the dogs that Dr. McSweeney treats. When she’s not petting puppies or chatting with patients as she preps them for their appointments, she’s often babysitting and spending time with her grandson or volunteering at her church.

Jordan is part of the back office team, which means you may find her organizing treatment rooms, learning more about what brings out patients to the office to prepare notes for the doctors, or fulfilling various other duties to keep Boost Integrated running smoothly. Before joining our team, Jordan served as a technician at a local physical therapist’s office. She’s currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of Nevada.
Jordan finds our doctors’ problem-solving, patient-centric approach refreshing. “They look at the body as a whole and understand that no two patients are the same,” she says. She encourages those who are looking for relief to keep an open mind about the benefits of a holistic approach to medical care.
Jordan was born and raised here in Reno and loves the easy access to outdoor recreation. When she’s not working or in school, you’ll find her hiking, camping and spending time at the lake. She also enjoys traveling and going to concerts locally or in California.
